Our Facilities
Starting treatment takes a lot out of you before you even get on a plane. By the time you start looking for treatment, we find most clients ask three simple questions: where will I sleep, who will be close by if something goes wrong, and will anyone really know what I am going through? On this page you will find clear details about your room and facilities, the medical and nursing cover at Jintara, and how the therapy team works with you and much more.

Fully Licensed Facility

A calm place to do the work
You are not coming here for a resort break. You are coming to get your life back into some kind of order. That needs a setting that feels steady, caring, and honest about why you are here.
Days follow the programme's clear pattern, which helps your nervous system settle. You know when checks, groups, movement, and meals will happen. Weekends give you safe practice with outings and social time, without noisy crowds or pressure.
- Morning: health checks, therapy, and skills
- Midday: groups, psychoeducation, and review sessions
- Afternoon: gym, movement, or wellness activities
- Evening: reflection, light groups, and wind down time
- Weekend: supervised outings on Saturday and a structured social lunch on Sunday

Inside Your Private Room
Most people ask about their room first. You stay in your own private room of approximately 70 m², with an ensuite bathroom, private lounge and space to move around. The goal is that you walk in, put your bag down, and feel like you can breathe again.
During detox and the first few nights, nurses agree check times with you, so contact feels planned instead of random. As your body settles, checks ease back and your room turns into a base where you can sleep, read, and call home in peace. In your room you can expect:
- Private ensuite with shower and good hot water pressure
- Supportive mattress, blackout options, and cooling for sleep
- Private lounge with 65" smart TV and relaxing sofa
- Your own private massage suite, where your masseuse comes to you
- Space to unpack comfortably, with seating and storage provided
- Regular cleaning and fresh linens without hotel style fuss
- Quiet way to reach a nurse at any time

Your Own Lounge Room
Recovery requires balance, and that means having a space where you can just be yourself, not a "client" or a "patient." Unlike many facilities where you are confined to a bedroom or forced into communal areas, at Jintara you will have a dedicated private living area separate from where you sleep.
This space allows you to decompress after a heavy therapy session or simply relax in the evening without the pressure of social interaction. It is furnished to feel like a home, not a clinic, giving you the dignity and normality that is often missing in treatment settings. In your lounge you can expect:
- A dedicated living space separate from your bedroom
- Comfortable sofa and seating for true relaxation
- 65" smart TV for downtime and movies
- A quiet environment to read, journal, or reflect
- Space to make private calls to family (within policy guidelines)
- Room to breathe and reset away from the group dynamic

Individual Massage Room
Reconnecting with your body is a vital part of the healing process, but we understand that vulnerability can make shared spa spaces feel uncomfortable. At Jintara, you do not need to walk through public areas in a robe or visit a communal treatment room.
Your suite includes a dedicated massage area where our professional therapists come to you. This ensures your privacy is absolute and allows you to relax completely, knowing you are in your own secure space. Massage therapy features include:
- A designated massage area within your private suite
- Professional therapists who come directly to your room
- No need to navigate shared spaces before or after treatment
- Therapeutic massage to help release physical tension and stress
- A schedule that fits around your clinical and medical plan
- Total privacy and safety during bodywork sessions

Your Own Kitchenette
As an adult, you value autonomy over your own schedule, especially in the mornings. You should not have to leave your room or ask a staff member just to get a cup of coffee or a glass of water.
Your room includes a well-equipped kitchenette area. This allows you to start your day at your own pace with a hot drink, or keep cold drinks and snacks on hand for the evening. It is a small detail that makes a big difference in feeling independent and settled. Your kitchenette includes:
- Refrigerator for cold water and personal snacks
- Kettle and station for making tea and coffee
- Space to store healthy snacks provided by the kitchen
- The ability to have your first morning coffee in total privacy
- Independence from the main dining schedule for hydration
- Clean, modern facilities refreshed by housekeeping

Spacious Ensuite Bathroom
We know that feeling clean and refreshed is fundamental to feeling better. Your suite features a large, private bathroom designed for practicality and ease. Unlike cramped hotel bathrooms, this is built as a spacious, traditional wet room.
While the styling is classic and simple, the focus here is on function and hygiene. It offers plenty of room to move, reliable hot water, and the privacy you need to prepare for your day. Your ensuite includes:
- Large, step-down shower area with ample room to move
- Rain-shower head and separate handheld unit
- Consistent hot water pressure for a relaxing shower
- Spacious vanity area for your personal toiletries
- Safety features including grab rails where needed
- Daily cleaning to maintain high standards of hygiene

Delicious Food, Shared Tables
Food is part of how you feel held here. Meals are regular, calm, and predictable. You eat at shared tables with staff nearby, which gives gentle social contact without forced small talk.
Breakfast is cooked to order. Lunch and dinner often feature Thai dishes, with simple Western options when needed. Water and fruit are always easy to find. Dietary needs can be met when the kitchen knows in advance. The fitness and nutrition team can adjust meals to match your movement plan. Around the table you can expect:
- Breakfast cooked to order each morning
- Light, fresh Thai based lunches and dinners
- Water, tea, and fruit available through the day
- Halal, vegetarian, vegan, and allergy options by prior notice
- Occasional Thai cooking class on a weekend

Lounges and Quiet Corners
Outside your room there are places to be around people without feeling stuck in a crowd. The main lounge has soft seating and a TV, used for set times and gentle viewing rather than constant noise.
There are also quiet corners and shaded outdoor spots by the river. You can read, listen to music, or sit with one other person. Staff keep an eye on device use so the house does not turn into a blur of phones and screens, especially in the evening. Shared spaces include:
- Main lounge with soft seating and low volume TV
- Indoor nooks for reading or quiet conversation
- Shaded outdoor seating close to the water
- Wi-Fi in rooms and shared areas
- Clear quiet hour guidance so nights stay calm

Pool, Gardens, and Weekend Outings
Many clients say their shoulders drop as soon as they see the pool and the river. The grounds sit in a green riverside setting, which feels different from a city clinic or busy hotel.
You can sit in the shade, float quietly, or talk with one other person between sessions. On Saturdays, staff lead small, ethical outings. Sundays often include a more structured social lunch, so you can practice life outside the walls with support close by. Between sessions you can expect:
- Pool with shaded seating and space to sit quietly
- Gardens that run down to the river
- Small supervised Saturday outings such as a calm elephant refuge, temple visit, or lakeside lunch
- Supported Sunday lunch that feels social without being loud or chaotic

Therapy Rooms and Clinical Spaces
The emotional work happens in rooms that feel safe and contained. One to one rooms are small and quiet, which makes it easier to say hard things without feeling watched by a crowd.
Group rooms have natural light and clear sight lines. Groups stay small, so you can see and hear each person without rows of chairs. Therapy is led by clinicians with postgraduate training in addiction and mental health, with trauma methods such as EMDR available when it fits your plan. In the therapy areas you can expect:
- Private one to one rooms set up for calm, focused work
- Group rooms with natural light and seating for a small adult group
- Clinicians with strong training in addiction and mental health
- Trauma work such as EMDR when safe and clinically indicated
- Dual diagnosis approach, so anxiety and mood are part of the plan, not side notes

On-site Medical Detox
If you are worried about detox, that is normal. Many people arrive after a health scare or a rough attempt to stop on their own. At Jintara, detox for alcohol, opioids, and benzodiazepines can happen on site when it is clinically safe and always under the care of a psychiatrist.
Nurses stay awake overnight, so you always have someone to ask for help. Doctors oversee protocols, and there are clear hospital pathways if you need more medical support. Early tests help the team set safe doses and pacing so your body can stabilize without guesswork. Medical cover includes:
- Nursing staff awake on site day and night
- On-site detox for key substances when it is safe
- Breath, urine, and physical checks soon after arrival
- Day two hospital-grade tests to guide medication and plan
- Clear hospital transfer protocols if needed

Movement, Gym, and Body Care
Recovery work is mental and physical. Movement is part of the weekly rhythm, always grounded in medical safety. The aim is to rebuild trust in your body, not chase numbers.
Trainers create simple plans that match your energy level and any injuries. Back on site there are lighter options such as stretching, short walks, pool exercise, and massage. Movement options include:
- Gym visits three afternoons each week
- Thai boxing (Muay Thai) trainers on site daily
- Mountain bike rides amongst the rice fields with staff
- Gentle stretching and walking routes on and near the property
- Pool time that can be active or relaxed
- Meal adjustments that support your movement plan when needed

Riverside Pickleball Court
Pickleball has quickly become one of the most popular activities at Jintara. The court sits beside the river on the edge of the property, giving you a way to move, compete gently, and connect with other clients outside of therapy.
Sessions run most mornings and afternoons, and clients of all fitness levels join in. The game is easy to pick up, burns energy, and creates the kind of casual social contact that helps people relax without the pressure of a formal group setting.
- Riverside court set on the edge of the property with natural shade
- Open morning and afternoon sessions for all fitness levels
- Equipment provided including rackets and balls
- Social and low pressure, a way to connect without the intensity of a therapy room

WiFi and Family Contact
You may need to keep family in the loop or let work know you are safe. Wi-Fi is available in rooms and shared areas so you can schedule calls and video chats.
To protect sleep and group time, there are clear rules around device use, especially during sessions and after quiet hours begin. In the first days of detox, access to devices may be lighter. When that is part of the plan, staff agree a simple way for family or key contacts to receive updates. Contact guidelines:
- Wi-Fi in rooms and shared spaces
- Suggested times for calls that do not clash with groups
- Staff supported contact plan for family or work

Accessibility and Practical Support
Many clients live with pain, fatigue, or mobility limits. Jintara plans around that rather than expecting your body to fit the building.
Rooms can be set close to dining, groups, or the nurse station if walking is hard. Routes use steps only where needed and have handrails in key places. Staff help you settle in smoothly, especially if mobility is difficult. Practical help includes:
- Room allocation that takes walking distance into account
- Step aware routes with handrails where needed
- Help with bags and settling in on arrival
- Intake calls that include your mobility, pain, and equipment needs
We can arrange a private full-time nurse to support you at night, or with your mobility issues. This can be helpful in early detox, or for clients where mobility is unsure. There is an additional cost, so contact us during your intake call to discuss what you need.
Smoking and Vaping
If you smoke or vape, you are not alone. There are set outdoor areas where this is allowed so smoke does not drift into therapy or dining spaces.
The nursing and medical team keep smoking in mind when planning detox and meds. On arrival, staff walk you through where you can smoke, when it is safe to do so, and how it fits into your care plan. Key points include:
- Designated outdoor smoking and vaping areas
- No smoking in rooms or shared indoor spaces
- Clear guidance on times that fit with your health plan
- Support if you wish to cut down during your stay
Alternatively, we also offer a formulated smoking cessation plan, if you would like to address that whilst you are with us.
